The pull out bed was broken but after reaching out to host there is a piece of wood available to use as support. What a great find. Got this place to be near my sister but what a great surprise the local treats near by. It was myself husband and my two daughters (1&6) it had everything we needed for a short stay. Next door was a lovely coffee spot. Across the street a cute library with great options for food (including the gas station) The Airbnb was stocked well with needed items, iron towels, kitchen needs. Bed was comfy and we utilized the sofa bed which was comfy as well. Bathroom was lovely and decent sized. With the wall ac and window bedroom ac it kept the house nice and cool during high temps. Area felt safe, parking was good too. Having the laundry was a plus. We walked to the park as well and kids had a nice time. Thank you. Will visit again!

Had a very peaceful and relaxing stay here. The beach was close enough for us to walk on the beach every morning before I had to work. There is a great market right across the street which was very convenient and had fantastic pizza for lunch. The place was great for a beach getaway, even when working. Excellent location and perfect for two people. This is the bottom half of a small, stand-alone house, with a modern kitchen and bathroom. Nice size bedroom with walk-out to private back sitting area. Place has cozy beach feel and very clean. Literally right across the street from an awesome market and next-door to great coffee/breakfast place, and a little Cuban café short distance towards the beach the other way. Beach is a very quick, two minute walk and rental comes with beach chairs and towels to borrow. Ken was extremely responsive to any questions we had and very helpful. Note if you are a light sleeper and the place above is rented you will likely hear their activity. But otherwise, a very peaceful and quiet space. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

Had an issue obtaining access-previous guest took the key and the spare key did not work, but host sent someone within 15 minutes to rectify, but handyman had to change the lock the next day. I would suggest installing a Wi-Fi lock-most Airbnb's that I have been in have them, and that would have eliminated the issue. Also, would be helpful to have some toiletries, even just samples available. Overall, a cute place, and a safe location.

My Mother had just passed away in Melbourne and I wanted a cozy, comfortable, peaceful and quiet place to be reflective and be alone. My two weeks at Ken's place was just what I needed. The bed was amazingly comfortable--as was the couch. It's literally one block from the beach which was glorious. There is a wonderful grocery store right across the street. A new coffee shop which serves delicious breakfast and sandwiches is right next door. There is also a great pizza place and fine dining restaurant within a one minute walk. Honestly, it was a bit of paradise for me which I needed at a sad period in my life.

Overall, a nice place to stay near the beach. Great location. As everyone described, it is a block away from the beach with nearby stores, cafes, and restaurants. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Rental place had all the basic amenities you would need. Note that the sofabed is literally a sofa that you can sleep on and not a pull out sofabed if you're looking for an extra "bed". One parking spot available per rental unit. Wi-Fi worked great. Cute decor. The place does allow pets, which you can tell. There were renters that stayed a few days above us and footsteps sounded like big foot. Ken was a great host. We had an issue when we initially arrived, but Ken was able to resolve it and generously refunded us a one-night stay. Much appreciated and thank you, Ken, for hosting us.

The overall stay was fine. The only issue was the TV situation. I wasn’t a fan of the YouTube since we kept losing connections. I do appreciate the host walking us through what to do. However, the place was beautiful, close to a lot of things and so close to beaches. I can certainly see us returning in the future. One more quick thing was check in time. The cleaners said we couldn’t check in till four, but we showed her the reservation. it wasn’t a big deal as we use the time to get a couple groceries.

The pictures don’t do it justice on how beautiful, clean and organized this unit is. From moment you walk in you feel relaxed and ready to start your vacation. This property was legitimately located in the perfect place and you could honestly walk everywhere you needed to go. Cool little cafes and restaurants literally steps away, a very short 2 minute walk to the beach. The market place across the street has everything you’ll need, liquor store is 2 places down, and restaurant ON THE beach that also serves breakfast and amazing mimosas. So happy Ocean Point had space for us when car trouble unexpectedly extended our time in Mel Beach. We happily returned to Apt 1, where we celebrated our 30th anniversary 3 years ago. Ken has updated a bit - adding a pull-out couch, beach chairs (with cooler pocket) & umbrella, enclosing the back patios, laying pavers back there and on the drive. This was a business-related trip for us so we didn't get to play but there were beach chairs and an umbrella available which would have been awesome. We worked from the apt and wifi was great - there was a brief hiccup where we couldn't connect but we reached out and were assisted immediately... even though it was after 11pm. We loved being right across form MB's fantastic market - we were there twice a day! We also loved walking our pup around the beautiful neighborhood - especially over by the river. MB is a fantastic beach community and Ken's place was a great toe-dip into local beach life. We look forward to spending more time in MB and would recommend Ken's place to friends.

First of all, we were very grateful to find a place on such short notice! Our previous booking was canceled on us 5 days away from check in, so we were very relieved that Ken accepted our request last minute. We were also happy to still be close enough to walk to the beach! We had most basic amenities covered, and I liked that there was a shower outside to rinse off the sand and saltwater. We were pretty disappointed to find upon checking in that there is a fee for using more than one set of towels per guest for a week. There is a washer and dryer out back, so you'll either want to make use of that, or bring your own towels. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and Ken's place made it a good trip for us!

I'll start off by saying that this review would've been 5 stars across the board. Ken was everything one would want in a host. The location is fantastic. Walkable to the beach, the bayside, shops and great restaurants. The only reason it wasn't is we had a couple of issues after checking in. The floor hadn't been mopped clean and Ken sent someone over to take care of it the next day. The second was more the luck of the draw as the AC failed at some point. Again, Ken sent someone right over to look at it, but it needed a part that had to be ordered. Once that was determined, Ken made arrangements that enabled us to finish up our stay in comfort. He constantly checked in to confirm everything was to our satisfaction throughout our stay. As I mentioned, Ken and his cohost Steve, made what could've been a nightmare of a trip to experience my daughter's college graduation, into an enjoyable stay in Melbourne Beach. Even witnessed two SpaceX launches from the beach. Thanks guys!

I recommend walking down to the pier (left out of the house) for sunsets and dolphin watching, and the Sand and Beach top floor for great view of the ocean. In a great location (close to stores/restaurants/beach), looks like the pictures - nothing fancy, but was exactly what we needed. Only things we wished that had been different were the AC & the wifi. Only AC unit is in the living room, so bedroom and bathroom were very hot (even with 3 fans). Wifi router must be shared between 2 units because we could only get connection in the bedroom (shared wall with other unit). If you’re looking for a place that’s easy + centrally located in Melbourne beach - this place is perfect! Would choose to stay here again if available on a future trip. It is a great place to stay. There are great restaurants within walking distance A great pier, easy to walk to, to relax or fish on (I caught several fish). The beach is even closer than the pier and it is not crowded at all. I loved it here, very relaxing!! I felt safe wherever I walked. It was just great, my wife loved it also. The perfect place to experience Florida!! I grew up near where the place was.

A great location! Short walk to the beach and food. Plus many other restaurants within 15 min driving distance. Two TVs, large bathroom and cute patio. Love the light-up driveway! Host was responsive. Had a couple small issues and the hosts seemed to be understanding and willing to address it. Tip: bring extra toilet paper.

We had a great time staying at 311 Ocean Ave. The apartment (Unit 4) was perfect for our needs and for our little doggie. We found it to be conveniently located to both the beach and to stores and shops but it also was very private and quiet. We enjoyed walking the area neighborhood with our dog and felt completely safe in doing so. Unit 4 Ocean Ave had all the comforts of home and we look forward to going back someday!

Ken's apartment was great. It's right on the main drag, but after the sun goes down, there is almost no traffic, and it's very quiet. Restaurants and a small grocery store are right across the street, so anything you might have forgotten to bring is within minutes. The pizza place across the street was top-notch. If you like pizza, you must give it a try. Oh, and there's a gorgeous beach just down the street! The location really could not be any better, and my wife and I really enjoyed our short stay. Thanks, Ken!

Enjoyed a week at Ken’s place. Location was excellent. Very close to the beach, restaurants and a great deli/market. Everything was walkable. Apartment was near a road but traffic noise was not a problem. Everything we needed was provided. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

I loved my stay here! I used to live in the area and come back from time to time to visit family. I LOVED the unit’s location - right across the street from the market (great spot, def recommend visiting) and next to the Cuban coffee and food stand!! Also walking distance to the beach. The place itself was so comfortable and the bed was super comfy too which is a HUGE gem at an air bnb. The unit was clean and so accommodating - I felt right at home. I also liked the back patio. The host, Ken, was super attentive and turned on our heat for us without being asked to ahead of our arrival as FL had a crazy cold front come through the day before our arrival! We also had a minor issue and he immediately resolved and was proactive in getting us what we needed to make it right (small plumbing thing that was easily fixed by a plumber). I recommend staying here!!

We’ve stayed at these units multiple times over the last few years and we’ve always loved them. This was our first time since they were under new ownership and we immediately noticed a few touches that were a great improvement. The paved driveway, the back porch area was spotless, and the even the outside of the buildings looked cleaner and brighter. And I can’t say enough about how great Ken was from start to finish. He was always accessible and replied almost immediately with any question we might have had. When the hurricane hit he was checking on us and after the storm, he had the outside debris cleaned up like nothing ever happened in leas than 24 hours. Then on our last week there, our dog ended up needing to be rushed to emergency spinal surgery and ken was so understanding and accommodating to the whole situation. Can’t wait to return!!!

Amazing location, so close to the beautiful beach. Loved watching the surfers there. I highly recommend the restaurant across the street, the market is nice too and we even had breakfast in that shopping plaza, so very convenient. A bit of road noise during the day but did not bother us at night. The condo is neat, nicely decorated and has everything you need in the kitchen.

Ken was always responsive to our needs, no matter what day it was (Thanksgiving) - from texting us at the last minute when I needed to ask for missing directions to trying (unsuccessfully, I'm afraid) to reduce the smell of smoke - he did all that he could - to letting us into the linen closet to get an extra roll of toilet paper as we had run out and there was no spare. Stains on bedsheets. There was only one pod for dishwasher and we stayed a week. None of the "little touches" were available e.g. tissues, soap, shampoo/conditioner that I've been accustomed to in other airbnbs. Noisy neighbors in the back of the three units (including a dog who barks) when we arrived home at 2:30AM, looking forward to sleep, and they were still partying. I think of all of the incidentals that bothered us most was the smell of smoke. Many thanks for trying to eradicate it, Ken, but in spite of rhe fact rhat we left the windows open for the entirety of our stay the smoke smell permeated everything.
